Holyoke – Diane Marie Hebert, 61, formerly of Holyoke, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2021 at the Governor’s Center in Westfield. She was born in Holyoke to Claire (Chabot) Hebert and the late Levi Hebert, she was a 1978 graduate of Holyoke Catholic High, later attending Holyoke Community College.
Diane was employed in Retail for many years as a Cashier and at Arnold’s Meat in Chicopee for 15 years. Diane enjoyed beading, making jewelry and her many friends at the American Legion on Sycamore St. in Holyoke, Post 325 as well as the Women’s Auxiliary.
She also enjoyed the Mt. Tom Reservation and loved her family and grandchildren dearly.
Besides her mother, Claire, she is survived by her two children; Randolph A. Pennell, Jr. of Westfield and Christie Pennell and her husband William Gideon of Maryland; her brother, Dennis Hebert and his wife Jolene of Texas, and by three grandchildren, Madison, Randy III and Sal.
Family and friends are invited to meet for visitation on Sunday August 29th from 11:00 am – 1:00pm at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke followed by a 1:00pm service in the funeral home. Burial will be private for the family at a later date.
