Yvette L. Perron
1926 – 2010
CHICOPEE – Yvette L. (St. Germain) Perron, 84 years of age, went to the Lord on Monday, May 31st at Mercy Medical Center, with her loving family by her side. She was born in the Aldenville section of Chicopee on March 19, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Arsene and Marie Anne (Daigle) St. Germain. She moved to Holyoke at an early age and after her marriage, she moved to the Fairview section of Chicopee where she was a 62 year resident and was a parishioner of St. Anne Church. Yvette attended schools in Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1944. She was a longtime employee of the former Parsons Paper Mill and retired from Clark and Falcetti. Yvette was predeceased by her two brothers, Leo and Leonard and her two sisters, Alice and Georgette. Yvette is survived by her husband Paul of Chicopee, whom she married in 1948 and enjoyed 62 years of happiness together. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary St. Germain of South Hadley. Yvette was never blessed with children, however she is survived by the following devoted, nieces and nephews, Ralph Taylor, Ann Lee (St. Germain) Jubinville, David St. Germain, Mark St. Germain, Denise (Archambault) Turgeon, Diane Archambault, Donna Archambault, Ronald St. Germain and Lillian Jeanne (Ouellette) Roberg. Yvette was also predeceased by a nephew, Robert Taylor in 1997 and two sisters in law, Lillian (Perron) Ouellette and Gladys St. Germain. A funeral procession will form on Monday, June 7, at 8:45 a.m. at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St. Holyoke. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Church, 30 College St. Chicopee. Burial will follow the Liturgy in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Yvette’s memory, to either the Dominican Nuns in West Springfield, St. Anne Church Memorial Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
