WILLIAM “BILLY” CHARRON
1948 – 2019
SOUTH HADLEY – Billy Charron, 71, a longtime South Hadley resident passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Holyoke Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Holyoke on May 5, 1948 a son of the late John and Bernice (Bullough) Charron and was educated in local schools. Billy was predeceased by his daughter, Candi (Charron) Brunelle, and brother, John B Charron. He was a longtime bartender for many local establishments and enjoyed horseshoes, bowling, softball and was an avid NY Yankees and Indianapolis Colts Fan. Billy was a friend to many and was always willing to help you with a problem or concern. He is survived by his two sons, Marc Charron of Chicopee, MA; William “Bill” Charron of South Hadley; his two sisters, Starr Miller of South Hadley and Gayle Charron of South Hadley. He leaves five grandchildren: Allison Charron, Joselyn Comeau, Ashley Brunelle, Justin Brunelle and Nathan Coughlin. Billy will be missed by his extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially his caregiver and friend, Ron Tindell. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 5-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
