HOLYOKE-Viola Constance (Kozak) Rovatti, 96, passed away on December 2, 2014 in her home at Loomis Assisted Living. Viola was born on December 9, 1917 to the late Frank and Aniela (Moskowicz) Kozak in Holyoke. She attended Mater Dolorosa schools. Viola worked at Curtis Business Forms, retiring after over 30 years of work. She was a member of the former Holy Family Church in Holyoke. Viola was also a member and Chaplain of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 351. In her later years, she enjoyed playing Bingo and other activities at the Loomis House. Viola’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Loomis House for the care and dedication. She was predeceased by her husband, Arrigo Rovatti in 1997. Viola is survived by her son, Richard Constance and his wife Joyce of West Springfield; two daughters, Carol Niemiec of Leesburg, FL and Cynthia Smith and her husband Dale of South Hadley; seven grandchildren, Connie, Linda, Michael, Joann, Lynn, Kim, and Shane; and six great-grandchildren. Calling hours for Viola will be Sunday, December 7 from 2-5PM in the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St, Holyoke. Services will be on Monday, December 8, beginning at 9:30AM at the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St, Chicopee. Burial will be in St. Jerome Cemetery, St. Bridget Section, Northampton St, Holyoke.
