Tom Joseph Elisee

HOLYOKE- Thomas J. Elisee, Jr., 72, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2015. Born in Holyoke, MA on July 27, 1943 to the late Thomas J. Elisee, Sr. and Shirley (Lempke) Hobert, he lived in Holyoke all of his life. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Holyoke and was employed by the Holyoke Water Works for many years most recently as a Whiting Street Reservoir Foreman and served as the Union President at the HWW. Tom leaves three sisters, Mrs. Joanne Allen, Mrs. Linda Wagner and Mrs. Cynthia Wiley, all of Miami-Dade, FL. He also leaves his close cousins, William (Patricia) Celatka of Port Orange, FL, Margaret (John) Murphy of Holyoke, Margaret (Kenneth) Gingras of Easthampton, Patricia (Frank) Hamel of Easthampton, and many other cousins. He also leaves his pet parrot, Corky. He leaves his good friend, Owen Donohue of Holyoke with whom he served on the Board of the Sacred Heart/Our Lady of Guadalupe CYO Basketball Program and was invaluable to Tom and the family during his recent illness. Calling hours will be on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 8:15 - 9:15AM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (formerly Sacred Heart Church) , Maple St, Holyoke, MA.
