STANLEY NOVAK 1920 - 2011 HOLYOKE - Stanley Novak, 90, of Holyoke died at home on July 26, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 4, 1920 in Northampton, MA to the late Antoni and Felixa (Roszkowska) Nowakowski. Stanley was raised in Northampton and was a graduate of Northampton High School and was a decorated veteran of World War II serving in the US Army Air Corps. He worked as an Insurance Agent & Tax Consultant until his retirement. He was the widower of Jean (Salesky) Novak who died in 1983. He leaves his loving children Carole Robinson and her husband Erving of Corinna Maine; Cheryl Kelly and her long time partner Tim Bouchard of Chicopee; Richard Novak and his wife Lorraine of Harmony, Maine. He also leaves his grandchildren Scott Labbe and his wife Elaine of Chicopee; Christopher Kelly and his wife Rachel of Longmeadow; Holly Attesi and her husband Matthew of Northampton; Chad Kelly and his partner Jenni Hendrix of Sonoma, CA; Emily Novak of NH; Craig Kelly and his partner Kristine Hayward of Chicopee and Jason Santaniello and his fianc�e Mary Vincent of Holyoke. He also leaves 4 adopted grandchildren, Larry Novak and his wife Kim of SC; Eric Novak and his wife Christine of VA; Darcie Novak and her husband Steve of Lowell, MA and Charlene Rich of Virginia. He also leaves 16 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and 11 adopted grandchildren. He also leaves his devoted caregivers, especially Yvette Gomez. Visiting hours for Stanley will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 1-4 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday afternoon at 3:30 PM in the funeral home with military honor.
