Stacy M. Mitchell

Stacy M. Mitchell 1927 � 2009 HOLYOKE � Stacy M. (Biedron) Mitchell, 82, died Friday, July 17, 2009 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Holyoke on May 7, 1927 to the late Stanley and Sophie (Krolicki) Biedron. Stacy attended schools in Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1945. She worked for the former Rainbow Company for thirteen years; the Soldiers� Home in Holyoke for ten years and Worthington Air Conditioning for five years. Stacy was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner of Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke. She was very active in the church belonging to many different groups including the Mater Dolorosa Rosary Society; the Group 141 M.D. Society; she was also chairperson of the Bazaar Committee for Mater Dolorosa and ran the Straw Booth for many years. She was a former treasurer for the Polish American Women�s Citizens Club and a member of the Golden Agers. Stacy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur E. �Mitch� Mitchell II on December 27, 2007 after fifty-three years of marriage. She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Arthur E. Mitchell III and his wife Diane of Holyoke and Mark S. Mitchell and his wife Gail of Chicopee; her daughter, Laurel A. Pinard of Holyoke; her grandchildren, Cecelia Mitchell, Jennifer Pinard, Fallon Pinard, Brianna Pinard, Chrystal Baez and Ricardo Baez; her two great grandchildren, Mikara Ratte and A.J. Figueroa; her nieces, Christine Langworthy and her husband Paul of Warrensberg, N.Y. and Karen Buske of Springfield and her nephew Joe Dumas of Holyoke. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in South Hadley. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St, Holyoke.
