HOLYOKE- Sol V. Lopez, 53, of Holyoke, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. She was born in Manhattan, NY on April 19, 1965, a daughter of Benjamin Lopez and the late Irma Sanchez. She married the late Jacob Santos, who predeceased her after 25 years of marriage. Sol worked for many years as a teacher’s aide in the Holyoke Public School System. She enjoyed watching the Red Sox and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by her boyfriend of 11 years, Santos Ortiz, her children, Alfredo Santos and his partner Yisabel Flores of Chicopee; Benjamin Santos and his wife Tanairie Montijo of Holyoke, and step-son John-Eric Santos; her grandchildren, Benjamin Jr.; Alfredo Jr.; Jaycalee; Jacob Jr.; Abby; Aaron, and Ayden, her siblings, Ruthy Lopez and Benjamin Lopez of Puerto Rico, as well as a nephew Jacob Santos. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 5-8PM at Christian Pentecostal Church, 96 Cabot Street, Holyoke, MA. The funeral will begin on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10:15AM from the church and be followed by the procession to Forestdale Cemetery, 304 Cabot Street, Holyoke, MA for an 11AM graveside service.
