1924 – 2019

EASTHAMPTON – Salvador Salois, 94, formerly of Holyoke passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Baieville, PDQ, Canada on September 4, 1924 a son of the late Rene and Angeline (Letendre) Salois. Salvador was predeceased by his wife Rita (Charette) Salois on November 19, 2011 and by his daughter, Jocelyne A. Hague on October 1, 2016 and by all of his siblings. He was hard worker and was employed in manufacturing working with textiles and later tool manufacturing with Easco Hand Tools. Salvador later worked for several years as a painter. He is survived by his son, Richard Salois and his wife Carol of Easthampton; 4 grandchildren, Brian Salois and his wife Meridith; Patrick Salois and his wife Phary; Sondra Hague and her husband Stephan and Raymond Hague and his significant other Novie as well as several great grandchildren to cherish his memory. He enjoyed woodworking projects including benches and tables and traveling to Canada especially to Niagara Falls and Drummondville. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke. The funeral will begin on Saturday June 8, 2019 at 8:45AM from Messier’s followed by a Mass at 10AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. The burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, So. Hadley.
