Ruth Ann Chadwell

Longmeadow � Devoted and beloved mother, wife and friend, Ruth A. (Manning) Chadwell, 79 of Chicopee, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow. Ruth was born in Holyoke on January 5, 1932 a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Kozacki) Manning. She was educated in the Holyoke school system and a member of St. Mary�s Parish in Chicopee. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband James Chadwell Jr., in 1982, and one brother James Manning and two sisters Velma Crevier and Dorothy Russell. She is survived by her devoted son James D. Chadwell and his wife Katie of Longmeadow, and by her three cherished grandchildren Jimmy, Catherine and Johnny. She also is survived by her sister-in-law Jean Manning of Holyoke, and by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Ruth had a kind, nurturing, and loving nature; a love of life, dance, and music; a beautiful smile; and a wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed greatly by many. Family and friends are invited to a gathering on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 7A.M.-9A.M. at the MESSIER FUNERAL HOME, 1944 NORTHAMPTON STREET, HOLYOKE, MA 01040. Following will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30A.M. in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, Pittroff Avenue, South Hadley, MA 01075. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth�s memory to St. Jude Children�s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
