Roland Fernand Pineault

HOLYOKE-Roland F. Pineault, 62, formerly of Fall River, MA passed away at his home on April 21, 2012 in Holyoke, MA, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves his wife of 35 yrs., Ester (Neto) Pineault, daughters, Jessica and Ashley of Holyoke, MA. and a son Adam and his wife Monique of Florida. He is survived by his mother, Barbara (Gillespie) Pineault of Fall River, two sisters, Sister M. Christopher Jude, O. Carm. (Diane Pineault) of New York and Margaret (Peg) Bryan and her husband Loren of Somerset, MA. He is also survived by his aunt, Maureen Gillespie and his uncle William Gillespie of Somerset, MA. He leaves two nephews. Born in Rockaway, NY, Roland moved to Fall River as a young child. He is a 1968 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and attended the Culinary Institute of America. Roland was an Executive Chef in Newport, RI, Stonington, CT and the Yankee Peddler Inn in Holyoke, MA. After a career as a Chef, Roland began his own business. Roland was very proud of his family, loved boating and was an avid sports fan. One of his greatest joys was watching his children play sports. The funeral ceremony will begin on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 9:30 AM from Messier funeral home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040 and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. The Burial and Rite of Committal will be in St. Jerome Cemetery, Northampton St., Holyoke.
