1942-2018
HOLYOKE- Richard Vermette, 76, of Holyoke, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018. He was born on January 31, 1942, a son of the late Raial and Mildred (Bayer) Vermette. He attended schools in Granby and graduated from Holyoke Trade in 1960. Richard enjoyed woodworking, trips to the casino, and classic cars. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Jeanette (Landreville) Vermette; his daughter, Brenda Parent and husband Dennis; his grandchildren: Jen Herberger and husband John, Dennis Parent, Samantha Bliss and husband Chris, Eddie Parent; his great-grandchildren Joey, Jack, and Brooklyn; his siblings: James Vermette and Patricia Tremblay, and several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his sister Theresa Patauneau. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA with a funeral home service at 6:30PM.
