1961-2018
CHICOPEE- Richard J. Beaton, 57, of Chicopee, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was born in Holyoke on May 17, 1961, a son of Adella (Moskal) and the late Richard Beaton. After graduating high school, he served proudly in the United States Marines from 1979 to 1983 and worked as a printing adjustor for Tubed Products for many years. Richard later married Linda Wojcik and the couple would have celebrated 25 years together on June 5, 2018. He loved gardening, landscaping, fishing, and the Big E. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Linda Wojcik of Chicopee; his adored daughter, Alicia Beaton of Chicopee; his mother, Adele Beaton of Southampton; his siblings: Catherine Beaton and Rosemarie Beaton both of Southampton, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA. His funeral will begin at 7:45AM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Messier Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton St, Holyoke. The Rite of Committal and Burial will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA at 11AM.
