Raymond H. Cognac

Raymond Cognac 1942 - 2013 HOLYOKE - Raymond H. Cognac, 71, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013. He was born in Holyoke on February 18, 1942 a son of the late Raymond and Alice (Venn) Cognac. Ray was a 1961 graduate of Holyoke Trade School and a graduate of Holyoke Community College where he studied computer electronics. He enlisted in the US Air Force and served honorably during the Vietnam War. Raymond worked at Pratt & Whitney as a technician for many years and later retired from Hampden Paper in 1989. Raymond was also predeceased by a sister Suzan Morneau in 1996. He is survived by three sons, Mathew, Michael and Patrick Cognac; a sister, Rosalie Pelletier of TX and several nieces, nephews, cousins. He also leaves several friends, especially David Hutchinson of Springfield and Eleanor Hinkson of Holyoke.The Rite of Committal and Burial with military honor will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 1PM in the chapel of Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA 01001.
