Holyoke - Normand J Lusignan, 92, Holyoke, Ma. passed away peacefully on December 4, 2022, just 4 Days shy of his 93rd birthday. He was born in Holyoke to Wilfred and Blanche (Vachon) Lusignan. The family thanks Bellamy Fields assisted living Dover, NH for their Professional and kind care, during the last fourteen months. We are comforted in knowing he received the best care available. We will never forget your kindness. Normand serviced his country honorably in the United States Army. He married the love of his life Muriel (Vachon) Lusignan on December 31, 1949. They were happily married for nearly 71 years until Muriel’s death in 2020. They loved to travel with their camper, hunt, be as far in the woods as possible. They were inseparable. As Muriel battled Alzheimer’s, he was the full-time caretaker for 10 years. Never did his love for her waver. Normand was a Teamsters truck driver till his retirement. If at work or taking care of his house and land, you will never find a harder worker. He really enjoyed playing ice hockey until his 85th birthday, in what he called THE Ole Timer League. He traveled to Montreal to play and saw his favorite professional team The Montreal Canadiens. He will be fondly remembered by son Clark, son Gary and his wife Barbara and daughter Nancy Doucet and her husband Richard, sister-in-law Rosalie and five grandchildren.
