HOLYOKE – Norman E. Chamberlain, 67, died Friday, July 10 at home. He was born in Holyoke on July 25, 1941 to Leona (Piquette) Desrosiers and the late Rene Chamberlain. Norman attended schools in Holyoke and graduated from the William J. Dean Technical High School. He worked for the former B.F. Perkins in Chicopee and the Sheraton Hotel in Springfield for many years. Norman loved to collect and restore old furniture. Beside his mother, Norman leaves to cherish his memory his step-father, Raymond Desrosiers of Chicopee; a very special friend, Donna Scheff of Springfield; his three sons, Glenn Chamberlain of New Britain, CT, Jeffrey Chamberlain and Brian Chamberlain both of Chicopee; his daughter Kelly Chamberlain of Springfield; his brother Kenneth Chamberlain of Holyoke and his sister Eleanor Hall of Virginia Beach, VA. He will also be sadly missed by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Norman was predeceased by his two brothers Rene and George. There will be a Committal Service on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made either to the Baystate VNA and Hospice, 50 Maple St, P.O. Box 9058, Springfield, MA, 01102-9058 or to the D’Amour Cancer Center, 3350 Main St, Springfield, MA, 01107.
