Mary D. Pasternak

Mary D. Pasternak 1950 � 2009 Chicopee � Mary D. (LaFond) Pasternak, 58, a former fifty year Holyoke resident, currently of Chicopee, died on Monday, June 22, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke on December 28, 1950, a daughter of the late Ernest, Sr. and Mildred (Vallee) LaFond. She was a graduate of Holyoke High School and Holyoke Community College and employed at Mount Saint Vincent Nursing Home. Mary was the wife of the late Thaddeus Pasternak who died on December 19, 1996. She is survived by her two sons, Matthew and Gregory, both of Chicopee. She also leaves her brother, Ernest LaFond, Jr. of Mississippi, and three sisters, Mildred Rychlik, Gloria Pueschel, and Claire Kennedy, all of Holyoke, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Teresa Stuntz in 1989. Funeral services are on Friday, June 26 from the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St. (Route 5) Holyoke. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 � 9:30am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at the St. Patrick�s Chapel of St. Jerome Church.
