Mary Louise (Guimond) Comtois 85, lifelong resident of Holyoke. Beloved wife of Raymond Comtois for 36 years who predeceased her in 2019, passed away on Thursday, January 30th, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Mary was born on November 8, 1939 in Holyoke, a daughter of William and Mary (Scanlon) Guimond, she was raised and educated in Holyoke and was a graduate of Holyoke High School.
She was former Director of Admissions at the Holyoke Housing Authority. She served as past president on the board at First Whiting Farms Cooperative, Inc.
Mary was also treasurer for many years at the Holyoke Senior Center, aka Friends.
She leaves her loving children, Kathleen "Katie" Seidel and her husband Butch, Jamie Keeler, Thomas Keeler and his wife Mary, and Sheila Littles, all of Holyoke. Cherished grandchildren, Ron and Marie Vachon, Jessica Henn, David, Cara, Daniel Seidel,
James Joseph Keeler jr., Jessenia and Glorimar Irizarry, Abbey and Austin Keeler, Great grandchildren, Amadora, Jordan, Tyler, Ruby, Bria, Jameis, Celine, Axel, Liam, Silas and Harper. One great great grandchild Joseph. In addition to her husband and parents she was also predeceased by her sisters, Kathy Poirier and Connie Guimond, brother, William Guimond, daughter in law, Rosa Burgos and son in law, Charles Littles.
Family and Friends are invited to gather on Friday February 7th, for visitation for Mary from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. at Messier Funeral Home
1944 Northampton St. Holyoke, Ma. followed by a service at 6:00p.m. in the funeral home. Her burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's name may be made to the Friends at the Holyoke Senior Center.
