Mary C. Reagan

HOLYOKE- Mary C. (Sullivan) Reagan, 93, passed away surrounded by family on July 23, 2014 at Palmer Healthcare Center. Mary was born in Holyoke on February 23, 1921 a daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Sullivan. She was educated locally and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1939. In 1943, she married James Reagan, a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, who was killed in a military plane crash in 1944. Mary was a longtime faithful communicant of Holy Cross Church and devoted to her family. Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Reagan in 1981; three sisters, Patricia Higgins, Dorothy Rieman, and Katherine Donovan; a nephew Brian Donovan; and a niece Kathleen Hance. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Dennis Donovan and his wife Denise, Patricia Donovan, Peter Higgins and his wife Kathleen, Michael Higgins and his wife Mary Frances, Patricia Gareau and her husband Denis, Mark Reiman, David Reiman, and Peggy Reiman; and several grand-nieces and nephews. Services for Mary will be Saturday, July 26, 2014 beginning at 8:30am in Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St, Holyoke, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton St, Holyoke and burial in St. Jerome Cemetery in Holyoke.
