Mary Claire Brown 1931 � 2008 HOLYOKE � Mary Claire (Moriarty) Brown, 77, died Friday June 20, 2008 at the Holyoke Medical Center. She was born on April 6, 1931, to the late Dennis and Helen (Flynn) Moriarty. Mrs. Brown graduated from Holyoke High School and from the Providence Hospital School of Nursing where she received her RN. Mary Claire worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at the Holyoke Pediatric Associates before retiring in 2000. She was also a cheerleading coach for Holyoke Catholic High School for several years. Mrs. Brown was a very devote catholic and proud of her religion. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Jerome Church in Holyoke. Mary Claire was predeceased by her loving husband, Michael J. Brown, in 1998. She will be sadly missed by her son, James M. Brown of Webster, MA; her two daughters, Helen E. Devenpeck of Holyoke and Catherine M. Wisth of Grafton, WI; her sister Patricia Hardy of N.C.; her ten grandchildren and her two great � grandchildren. A funeral procession will form on Tuesday, June 24 at 7:45 A.M. at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St, Holyoke. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at St. Patrick�s Chapel at St. Jerome Church in Holyoke. Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery in Holyoke.
