1951 – 2012
HOLYOKE- Mark A. Cross, 61, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Western Mass Hospital. Mark was born in Holyoke on April 3, 1951, beloved son of the late Anthony Cross and Bertha (Spillane) Cross of Holyoke. Mark was educated in Chicopee Schools and was a longtime C.N.A. for the State of Massachusetts DMR. Always caring and considerate Mark loved spending time with his clients and most especially with his family and dear friends. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Nancy (Brunault) Cross of Holyoke; his adored daughter, Jessica Brunault of Holyoke and his brother, Stephen Cross and his wife Deborah of West Springfield. Mark will be deeply missed by his granddaughter Katelyn Marie Brunault as well as his extended family and friends. He was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Member and belonged to Council #4044 in Chicopee. Visiting hours for Mark will be on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 4-7 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. His funeral will begin on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 9:30 AM from the funeral home and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee, MA 01020.
