Northampton- Marisabel Mercedes Alvarez-Rosado, 74, was born in San Juan Puerto Rico on September 23, 1943 and passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Holyoke Medical Center. She was a daughter of Eduardo Alvarez-Castillo and Juana Rosado-Rivera who both preceded her in death. She married Marcos Peroza-del Valle and had two children: Vivian Echols of North Carolina; Marcos Peroza-Alvarez of Holyoke, MA. She is also survived by two sisters, Emilia Alvarez-Rosado of Puerto Rico and Sarah Alvarez-Rosado of New Mexico and by her two grandchildren Kevin Peroza and Meah Alvarez. Marisabel worked at the Chamber of Commerce and the Puerto Rico Telephone Company. Applying her masters degree in economics and tax law she retired from Smith College in Northampton, MA where she worked as an inventory analyst in the physical plant department for many years.
