Marilyn Jane Angers, 69, lifelong resident of Holyoke, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday April 5, 2026, with her loving family by her side. Marilyn was born in Holyoke on January 25, 1957, to Raymond G. and Claire A. (Jeffery) Angers, she was raised and educated in Holyoke and was a 1975 graduate of Holyoke High School. Marilyn loved school, she attended and graduated from Holyoke Community College, receiving her associates degree from there and later continued her education at Western New England College where she received her bachelor’s degree. Marilyn had a long and fulfilling career as an accountant at Valley Communications in Chicopee. She was a very energetic and loving person blessed with sharp wit and charisma. Marilyn had a big heart and was very generous with her family and close friends and all in need. She was most content being in the presence of her family sharing in all the special moments and holidays. Marilyn was loved by all that had an opportunity to know her. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her twin sons, Jonathan and Jeffery Angers of Holyoke; her three siblings, Christine Bilous and her husband Dennis of Mechanicsburg, PA, Thomas Angers and his wife Pamela of Wayne, PA and twin sister, Carolyn J. Summers of Holyoke, nephews Brian Summers and his wife Kristin of Westfield and Adam Summers and his wife Sarah of Shutesbury. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, April 11, 2026, for a period of visitation for Marilyn from 4 – 6 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, followed by family reflections at 6 PM. Her burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s name may be made to Hospice Life Care, 575 Beech St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
