Margaret Mazzolini 1928-2014 BOYNTON, FL-Margaret (Monaco) Mazzolini, 85, passed away in her home in Boynton Beach, FL on September 11, 2014. Margaret was born on September 16, 1928, a daughter of the late Peter and Kate Monaco of Glastonbury, CT. She attended schools in Glastonbury, CT before moving to Holyoke, MA, where she lived most of her life and enjoyed many endearing friendships. Margaret was married to Elmo Mazzolini and they spent many loving years together until his passing in 1999. She worked as a Recreational Therapist for many years at the Council on Aging in Holyoke. She was also on the Information Board and a member of the Council on Aging. Margie also loved her friends as family at her Sterling Village residence in Boynton Beach, FL. She enjoyed travel, social and craft clubs. She was a caring and loving person who was always more concerned for others and devout in her prayers for them. While her brothers served the country, she was proud to work at her familys gas station-Monaco Ford. In her later years, she also supported the troops by making helmet liners. Although she was not blessed with her own children, we were blessed with having the best Aunt that anyone could ask for. Margaret was predeceased by six brothers, Sebastian, Albert, John, William, Charles, and Peter Jr., and two sisters, Agnes Violette and Florence Durocher. She is survived by her sister Ann Panek of Glastonbury, CT; and several nieces and nephews. Special gratitude to caretakers Viris and Jacqueline. Services for Margaret will be Wednesday, September 17 beginning with calling hours from 8:30-10AM in Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St, Holyoke, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton St, Holyoke, and burial in Calvary Cemetery in Holyoke.
