Manuel Torres, Jr. 1958-2010 Manuel Torres, Jr., 52, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, CT and a long time Springfield resident, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria (Rodriguez) Torres. Manuel was a Pressman for Marcus Printing of Holyoke and was employed there for the past 33 years. He also worked as a Security Guard at the Eastfield Mall in Springfield. A car show enthusiast he enjoyed showing his 2003 Mustang Mach One 40th Anniversary Edition and his 1998 Camero ZROC 28. His loved baseball and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He was a man who loved his family and was passionate in life. Manuel leaves his loving wife of 27 years, Vilma (Rosario) Torres; his daughters, Natasha Dymnicki and Melissa Torres both of Springfield; two sisters, Norma Iris Torres of Chicopee, Migdalia Torres of Springfield and four grandchildren, Alana and Aryka Dymnicki and Natalie Torres and Kaitlyn Drinkwine. A funeral procession will form on Tuesday, March 23 at 8:45 a.m. at the Messier Funeral Home 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the Service in Forestdale Cemetery, Holyoke. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
