Liliane J Jacques

HOLYOKE- Liliane J. (Bilodeau) Jacques, 80, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Holyoke Medical Center. Liliane was born in St. Vital de Lambton, PDQ, Canada on August 30, 1931, a daughter of the late Joseph and Angelena (Labreque) Bilodeau. She was educated in Canada and settled in the U.S. as a young woman. She enjoyed farming in Canada with her family and loved horses, fishing, was an avid 10 Pin AMF Bowler. She was a member of the Franco-American Club and for the past several years she worked at the Connecticut Building at the Big E where she loved vending kettle corn with her family. Most recently she worked at Smith and Wesson for many years and prior to that she worked at Kayser Co. in Canada. Liliane is survived by her beloved son, Norman R. Jacques of Holyoke; her two sisters, Lucille Boulanger of St. Benoit Labre, PDQ, Canada; Jeanine Bureau and her husband Rene of Newcomb, NY; several nieces and nephews and her godson, Steven Rizzo of Highland, NY. Visiting hours for Liliane will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 5-7 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. Her funeral will begin on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 8:45 AM from the funeral home and conclude with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 435 Maple St., Holyoke.
