Keidi Lee Key, beloved 12-year-old daughter of Kevin J. and Temika Bennett – Key, passed away on Monday March 31, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with her loving family at her side.
Keidi was born on March 13, 2013, in Springfield, MA, she was raised and educated in Springfield at Freedman Elementary School and was currently a student at Kennedy Middle School in Springfield.
She was an academic scholar in school and a gifted athlete. Keidi played basketball with the Lady Ballers and Migs and ran track with the Ballers Track team. She loved to paint, write, and make doll clothes. Keidi had an infectious smile and enjoyed being silly. She always put people’s needs before her own. Her caring and loving personality will be dearly missed by all that had the opportunity to know her and love her. She leaves her loving parents, Kevin and Temika, brothers, Kevin R., and Keyth D. Key, sisters, Kennedy H. and Kelley R. Key all of Springfield, maternal grandfather, Abraham Bennett and paternal grandparents, Ernest L. Key and Hannah Wallace – Key all of South Carolina, numerous aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends. A celebration of Keidi’s life will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations in Keidi’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
