June Alice (Gewinner) Guilbault, 82, beloved wife of 45 years of Ernest P. Guilbault who predeceased her in 2011, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Mont Marie Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Holyoke.
June was born on November 7, 1940, in Holyoke, MA, a daughter of Walter and Sophie (Matrishon) Gewinner.
She was raised and educated in Holyoke, before becoming a longtime resident of Chicopee.
June was an employee at the former Avery Dennison in Chicopee.
She enjoyed reading the daily paper and feeding the birds and squirrels within her yard.
June leaves behind her loving children, Mark E. Guilbault of Lee, Kevin M. Guilbault, and Jodi T. Gauthier and her husband, Frank O’Hagan all of Chicopee, 8 cherished grandchildren, Amber Mastej and her husband, John, Kevin Guilbault II and his fiancée, Kristin, Misty LaJeunesse, Alyssa Smith and her husband, Ryan, Melissa Guilbault-Abolin and husband, Cody, and Donald Harmon, Jr., great grandchildren, Derek, Tanner, Christian, Aliyah, Mariah, Nevaeh, Jake, Michael, Ava, and Cole and by numerous nieces, nephews and her dear sister Eunice Hartling of Holyoke.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Tami M. Harmon, brother, Buddy Gewinner, sister, Glennis K. Gorman, grandsons, Shawn Ross and Justin LaJeunesse, and her great-granddaughter, Sophia Marie Mastej.
Family and friends are invited to gather on what would have been her 83rd birthday, Tuesday November 7, for calling hours for June, from 4 – 7 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke.
A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, beginning at 9 AM at the funeral home, followed by committal prayers and burial at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. For online condolences please visit www.messierfuneralhome.com
