Joyce Radhika Barran

Joyce Radhika Barran, 78, of Holyoke, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Holyoke Medical Center.
Joyce was born on September 12, 1946, in Palmyra Village, Guyana, a daughter of Henry and Ratnee Barran.
Joyce was raised and educated in Guyana and later became a Nurse while there.
She immigrated to the United States with her family in 2000 and continued working within the healthcare profession.
Joyce leaves behind her loving daughter, Anneta Patrick and her husband, Will and, a cherished granddaughter, Amy Ramnarine all of Millstone, New Jersey, brother, Navin Barran of Queens, NY, and sister, Rubena Barran of London, England. She also leaves behind her caretaker and family friend, Jose Monje of Holyoke.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her son, Ramesh Dhanraj and granddaughter, Ashley Ramnarine.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, November 27, for a period of visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
