Holyoke, MA – Josephine D. (Valenti) (Schoedel) Tittle, 92, passed away at home on Sunday December 5, 2021. Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday April 22, 2022 at 11:45 a.m. at the Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY 11735. Please meet in your cars at the Administration Building to proceed to the gravesite for 12 noon.
Holyoke, MA – Josephine D. (Valenti) (Schoedel) Tittle, 92, passed away at home on Sunday December 5, 2021. She was born on September 30, 1929 in New York City to Mario and Margaret ( Leto) Valenti and was a graduate of Julia Richmond High School. After leaving New York City, she enjoyed living in Bayville, NY, and Severn, MD, before moving to Holyoke, MA, five years ago to live with her daughter, Carolyn.
Josephine was an incredible cook and wonderful housewife. She was employed as the Administration Manager at the Pratt Institute Library, Arts & Science School in Brooklyn, NY, for many years.
She was predeceased by her husbands, James H. Tittle in 2015 and Arthur R. Schoedel in 1989; her son, Eric M. Schoedel in 1980; stepsons, James A. Tittle in 2015 and Fred Tittle in 2009, brother, Andrew Valenti, and his wife Ann, and by her sister in law, Gloria Valenti.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Carolyn A. Schoedel of Holyoke, MA; her brother, Joseph Valenti of Plainview, NY; stepchildren, John Tittle and Carol Ann Thompson and by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in New York in Spring 2022. Messier Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
