HOLYOKE-Joseph W. Rogers 65, passed away Monday June 4, 2012 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Malone, New York, on May 20,1947, a beloved son of the late William Howard and Vivian Rogers. He was raised in Malone, New York and later moved to Holyoke, MA. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After his career in the military he worked as a machine operator and supervisor in many factories. During his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cooking and playing cards with his family. He is survived by his sons Aaron and Robert, and daughters Tonia and Alexis. He is also survived by his brother James Rogers, three sisters Alberta Jackson, Mary O'Dor, and Joan O' Donald, and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. We would like to personally thank Chicopee Dialysis, Bronson Rehab, Baystate Medical, and Holyoke VNA for all his care. Visiting hours will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 from 4-6 PM followed by a 6 PM funeral home service at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. The Rite of Committal with military honor The Rite of Committal with military honor will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 9:00 AM in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, 01001.
