1963-2019
HOLYOKE- Jorge M. Rodriguez, 55, of Holyoke, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on September 24, 1963, a son of Emilio Rodriguez and the late Carmen Rivera-Rodriguez. He later was a member of the Army National Guard and worked for several years at Mestek as a machine operator. In his spare time, Jorge enjoyed watching boxing and football, pig roasts, and joking around. He was a handyman who loved to have fun with his family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Manuel Rodriguez. Jorge will be dearly missed by his loving children, Jonathan Rodriguez; Stephanie Rodriguez; Crystal Rodriguez; Emily Suarez; Josh Rodriguez, Natalie Bessonette, and Bianca Rodriguez-Shea. In addition, Jorge leaves fifteen adored grandchildren and two on the way. He is also survived by his siblings. Miguel Jusino; Carmen DeJesus; Maria Rodriguez; Francisco Rodriguez; Hector Rodriguez; Israel Rodriguez; Sephora Rodriguez and Sarai Cruz, his former spouse Darlene Elias, as well as several other close family members and dear friends. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 1-4PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 10AM at Messiers’ followed by a burial in Forestdale West Cemetery, Holyoke. For more details please visit www.messierfuneralhome.com .
