HOLYOKE- Jennie P. (Urban) Wauczinski, 83, entered into peace and rest on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. She was born in Chicopee, MA on Dec. 1, 1930 a daughter of the late William and Paulina (Petrukiewicz) Urbonowicz. She was raised in the Berkshires, graduated from Lee High School in 1948 and later graduated from Business School. She worked for many years in the insurance industry in Greater Holyoke as an underwriter primarily in the recreational vehicle department retiring in 1996 from Insurance Innovators of W. Springfield. Prior to that, she worked for General Electric in Pittsfield for several years. Jennie was a faithful supporter and 50 year communicant of Mater Dolorosa Church and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Cross Church. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed mystery novels. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph C. Wauczinski on Jan. 24, 1994 and by her brother Raymond Urban. She leaves her beloved daughter, Joann Wauczinski of Holyoke; her son, John Wauczinski of Watertown, MA and several extended family members and friends. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke. Her funeral will begin on Friday at 8:45AM from the funeral home and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady of the Cross Church. The burial will be private in St. Mary�s Cemetery in Lee.
