Jeannette Cappella

Jeannette Cappella, 93, passed away at Holyoke Medical Center on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 and now is in eternal peace and rest. She was born in Morristown, VT on August 16, 1923 a daughter of the late Amedee and Yvonne (Lemire) Leclerc. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Cappella in February of 1992 with 44 years of marriage. Jeannette was a seamstress and homemaker. Jeannette joined her husband Joseph owning and operating Joe's Fruit Shoppe in Holyoke and later in Chicopee. She will be missed by her two sons; Joseph Cappella Jr. of Easthampton, and Carl Cappella and his wife Lori of Greenfield; her three daughters; Joanne Delphia and her husband Mark of Holyoke; Suzanne Cappella of Holyoke; Yvonne Painchaud and her husband Richard of Montgomery. She also leaves three grandchildren, Anthony and Rachel Cappella, and Jacqueline Farrow, 4 great-grandchildren, a sister Dolores Larrivee, and also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Yvonne Polisky and Noella Kincaid. Funeral services were private. Memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society, Springfield.
