Jeanne Forget

HOLYOKE-Jeanne R. Forget, 72, of Holyoke, died peacefully on November 5, 2014. She was born a daughter of the late Alcide and Medora (Viens) Forget on November 28, 1941 in Holyoke. She attended school in Holyoke and later graduated from Anna Maria College of Paxton where she majored in French Literature. She taught French in the Holyoke School system, during which time she received a grant from the French government to study in Caen, France. Over the years she was active in local associations including Model Cities and the Holyoke Business and Professional Women’s Club. She leaves her sister Hortense “Sandy” Moreau of Belchertown; nieces and nephews, Rosalind, Richard, and Celeste of Belchertown and John of Springfield. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 14 at 11AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 54 North Summer St, Holyoke, followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, 63 Lyman St, South Hadley.
