Harold L. Tauscher, Sr.

HAROLD L. TAUSCHER, SR. 1927 � 2009 HOLYOKE � Harold L. Tauscher, Sr., 81, a lifetime Holyoke resident, died on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke on April 22, 1927, a son of the late Walter and Elsie (Small) Tauscher. He was previously employed at the former Laminated Paper Company of Holyoke, retiring in 1984. He also owned and operated a television repair shop. He was an avid trout fisherman and enjoyed working on all kinds of cars, puzzles, and most recently video games. He was the husband of the late Esther (McClain) Tauscher who died January 18, 2000. He is survived by four sons, Harold Jr. and his wife Maureen, Roger, Peter, and Paul, all of Holyoke. He also leaves two brothers, Fred of Holyoke, and Robert of Westfield, and one sister, RaeEtta McElwey of Holyoke. He will be sadly missed by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Charlotte Bryden, and Shirley Miller. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 23rd from 4 � 8pm at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St. (Route 5) Holyoke. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Harold�s name may be directed to the charity of ones choice.
