Gloria M. Von Marschall

Gloria Mary Von Marschall, 85, longtime resident of Holyoke, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Holyoke Medical Center. Gloria was born on March 30, 1940, in Jersey City, New Jersey, a daughter of John and Mary (Daveniero) Bardone. She was raised and educated in Jersey City, NJ. Gloria was a nursing assistant for many years at St. Luke’s Rest Home in Springfield. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gloria leaves her children, Joseph Daveniero and his wife, Alice Wen of Brigantino, NJ, Stephanie Pandora of Enfield, CT, Holly Kielman of Springfield, MA, Rebecca Riffenburg of Holyoke, and Heather Alicea of Chicopee; her sister Marion Bardone of Springfield, 10 cherished grandchildren, Eric, Adonis, Jesse, Michael, Mark Jonathon, Olivia, Trista, Christopher, and Justin, and 8 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, July 22, for visitation from 5-7 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Gloria’s funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, beginning at 10 AM, followed by burial at Forestdale West Cemetery in Holyoke.
