Germaine Grincavitch (Morin), 88, was Called Home surrounded by her Loving family on July 23, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of the late Jeanette and Gilbert Morin of Holyoke. She was born in Holyoke and graduated Salutatorian from Sacred Heart High School. She traveled with The Pizzitola Orchestra playing the mandolin throughout her teenage years. After graduating from high school, she worked as the executive assistant to the president of Tecnifax. She worked for many years at Digital Equipment Corporation and was a tireless proponent for women’s rights within the workplace. She was the first female manufacturing manager at the Westfield based Digital plant. She eventually retired as Corporate Manufacturing Manager. She was blessed with many wonderful friends both at work and in her home life. She knew how to enjoy life and brought so much love, joy, laughter and wisdom to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her former husband Charles Grincavitch. She is survived by her five loving children: Susan Cusson and her husband Charles of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; Gary Grincavitch and his wife Carol (Benben) of Southampton; Nancy Grincavitch of Westfield; Charles Grincavitch and his wife Susan of Charlestown, RI; and Gail Currier and her husband Bryan of W. Suffield, CT; four adored grandchildren: Kristen Currier of Reston, VA; Thomas Currier of Enfield, CT; Sarah Currier of Enfield, CT; and Cali Grincavitch of Cambridge, MA. She is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronald and Eileen Morin of South Hadley and Paul and Ann Morin of Northboro. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Paula Ball of Norton and two brothers-in-law: John Grincavitch of South Hadley and James Grincavitch and his wife Heather of Punta Gorda, FL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Claire Whitcomb of South Hadley and Yvette Kapinos of Chicopee. She would like to say THANK YOU to all her loving family and friends here and around the world. There will be a celebratory service on July 27, 2023 to honor Germaine’s beautiful life with her loving family and dear friends.
