Holyoke- George G. Plant, 69, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in New Hampshire, October 31, 1942, a son of the late Germaine (Parent) Plant and Louis G. Plant. George graduated from Classical High School in Springfield, MA. He was a dedicated Finish Shaper at WGI Inc. for more than 20 years and previously employed by B & E Tool in Southwick. George enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Golf League at Southwick Country Club and Edgewood Country Club. George will be deeply missed by his wife of 50 years Mollie (Mary Anziano) Plant; his son; Michael Plant of Holyoke, MA; his three daughters; Lorrie Parody of Gill, Ma; Dr. Joanna Miles of East Longmeadow, MA and Paula K. Lavigne of NC; his brother; Stephen Plant of Windsor, CT; his four sisters; Elaine Cooper of Gulf Port, FL; Joanna Fowler of Titusville, FL; Linda Belliveau of Chicopee, MA and Lisa Scott of Monson, MA; his grandchildren David Parody and Charlotte Parody of Gill, MA. He also leaves his extended family and an abundance of friends. George leaves an impression in hearts and minds of all who knew him to never be forgotten. Memorial contributions may be made in George’s memory, to Foster Hospital for Small Animals, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, 55 Willard Street, North Grafton, MA 1536, (508) 839-5395.
