Florence Shirley Keyes

HOLYOKE- Florence “ Shirley “ (Scott) Keyes, 93, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her home in peace. She was born in Springfield on June 9, 1923 a daughter of the late George and Florence (Fields) Scott and educated locally. Most recently, she worked for Graham Manufacturing in the shipping department and retired in 1983. Previously she worked for A&P Supermarkets and Totsy Mfg. as a clerk. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Paul Keyes in 1970, a sister Rita Viens, and by a granddaughter, Darlene Adams in 1979. She is survived by her five loving children, Paul Keyes, Jr and his wife Nancy of Agawam; Bonnie Adams of Ware; Pauline Kirkpatrick and her husband Kirk of S. Weymouth; Karen Paro and her husband Lloyd of Agawam and Shirley Martin of Westfield. She leaves behind 11grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren to cherish many wonderful memories. Life celebration hours will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 4-7PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040 and conclude with a funeral home service at 6:30PM.
