HOLYOKE – Eva De Colon, 90, a longtime resident here died Monday, January 3, 2011 at home. She was predeceased by her husband Eustaquio Colon Sr., in 1981. Eva retired from Totsy Mfg as a multi talented seamstress. She was born and educated in Coamo, P.R. and came to the U.S. in 1969. Eva is survived by her children, Inocencia Colon; Roberto Rodriguez; Francisco Colon; Eustaquio Colon, Jr.; Pablo Colon; Maria Colon and her daughter and caregiver, Eladia Colon. Eva leaves 18 adored grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 4-7 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St. The funeral will begin at 7:45 AM on Friday from Messier’s and conclude with a Mass at 9 AM in Our Lady of Guadualupe Church, Maple St., Holyoke.
