Ester
Pineault
Aug 22, 1957 — Jul 31, 2026
Ester Teresa (Neto) Pineault of Holyoke, MA, age 68, passed away peacefully at her home on July 31, 2026. She was born in Fall River, MA on August 22, 1957, to her late parents, Manuel and Ester (Mello) Neto.
Terry's warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched everyone she knew. She was a loving mother who adored her three children and her grandson, Luca. One of Terry's greatest joys in life was watching her children's accomplishments and she celebrated every milestone. Terry spent hours upon hours with Luca. She loved playing with him and watching him grow. She never missed an opportunity to take a trip to the dog park with her precious dog Bella. Terry was known for her laughter and no one laughed harder. With no fear of embarrassment, she was authentically quirky, quick to engage in long conversations with strangers and could spend hours on the phone with her sisters. She was an avid dessert-lover and usually had every manner of cake or pies in her refrigerator. In fact, she passed away with a piece of Costco's caramel flan by her side.
Terry and Roland owned a successful antique business. Once retired, the old habits died hard. You could often find Terry patrolling the streets and searching for a tag sale most weekends. She loved a good haggle, and saving even five cents was a huge victory. Terry referred to herself as a "picker." With her talent and creativity, and a little duct tape and caulk, even well-loved items became good-as-new.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Roland Pineault. She is survived by her son Adam Pineault and his wife Monique, daughter Jessica Pineault and her husband Devin McNamara, daughter Ashley Tocchio (Pineault), and her husband Colin Tocchio and their son Luca Tocchio. She is also survived by her brother Manuel Neto and his wife Ana of Plymouth; her 7 sisters: Rose Martin of Fall River, Lisa Gomez and her husband Paco of NJ, Hilda Wills of Westport, Noemia Medeiros of Fall River, Lena Pacheco of Seekonk, Dovalina Leandro of Fall River, Rosemary Sylvester of NJ; her late husband's family Maureen Gillespie of Somerset, Sister M. Christopher Jude O. Carm., (Diane Pineault) of New York, Margaret (Peg) & Loren Bryan of Somerset; and all of her nieces and nephews. Terry was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and she will be deeply missed.
