Emma Scheinost

Emma Scheinost 1910 � 2010 HOLYOKE - Emma Scheinost, 99, died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Loomis House in Holyoke. She was born in Holyoke on December 10, 1910 to the late Louis and Leontine (Hehn) Scheinost. While Emma attended schools in Southampton and Holyoke, she lived most of her life in South Hadley. She worked for the former Zal�s in Holyoke for over twenty years. Emma will be sadly missed by her sister, Edith Provost of Arkansas; her sister-in-law, Diane Scheinost of South Hadley and her many nieces and nephews. Emma was predeceased by her four brothers, Frank, Alfred, William and Edmund; her sister, Rose Kowalewski and her two sisters-in-law, Anna Scheinost and Polly Chase. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at the Loomis House for their care and compassion during her stay with them.
