ELSIE E. RYBAK 1919 � 2009 SOUTHAMPTON � Mrs. Elsie E. (Kerkhoff) Rybak, 89, a lifelong Holyoke and Southampton resident, died peacefully at home on Thursday, March 19, 2009. She was born in Holyoke on April 27, 1919, the daughter of the late Peter and Philippine (Bauer) Von den Kerkhoff. She was a graduate of Holyoke High School and was very active and caring for her neighbors and friends. She was�very active and a former trustee�of the Holyoke Turn Verein and the Camp Jahn Association. She was the wife of the late William F. Rybak who died on May 22, 1996. Her oldest brother, William Kerkhoff predeceased her on April 20, 1983. She is survived by her brother, Edwin Kerkhoff of South Hadley, her beloved�nieces and nephews, Nancy Clark of Vermont,�Kathleen Kochapski of Northampton,�Daniel Kerkhoff of Chicopee, Michael Kerkhoff of South Hadley, and Earl Walker, Jr. of Florida. She also leaves special friends, Ron and Pat Royal and their family along with her beloved and constant companion, Kitty Cat. The funeral procession will form on Friday, March 27 at 8 am at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St. (Route 5) with a Service of Remembrance at 9am. Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are on Thursday, March 26 from 4 � 7pm. In lieu of flowers contributions in Elsie�s memory may be directed to Mercy Hospice, 1236 Main St. Suite 303, Holyoke, MA 01040.
