Eleanor June Moran

ELEANOR J. MORAN 1917 � 2009 HOLYOKE � Mrs. Eleanor J. (Walters) Moran, 91, passed away at the Holyoke Medical Center on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. She was born in Odessa, Washington on June 10, 1917, a daughter of the late John and Mollie (Heimbigner) Walters. She attended schools in California and was a sixty year Holyoke resident. She retired in 1978 as Assistant Vice President from Community Savings Bank. She was the wife of the late Martin Moran who died in 1980. She is survived by four sisters, Betty Lyons, Georgia Long, Joanne Stein, and Margie Walters, all of California, two brothers, Eugene Walters of Connecticut, and Robert Walters of Arizona, her niece, Darlene Wright of Connecticut, dear friends, Roger and Claire Fournier of Holyoke, and Terry Charette of Connecticut, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Edwin Walters, and her sister, Pearl Holland. All services are private. There are no calling hours. Contributions in her memory may be directed to Shriner�s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104. The Messier Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
