Edward R. Deroy

Chicopee-Edward �Eddie� DeRoy, 60, a Holyoke native and former resident of Norwich, VT passed away at his home on Wed. November 20th, 2013, just eight days after celebrating his 60th birthday with his family. Eddie was born on Nov. 12, 1953. He was the first son of Antoinette (Cote) DeRoy and the late Amedee DeRoy. Eddie was a 1971 Graduate of Holyoke High School and graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. He worked as a Government Contract Specialist and as a Financial Manager. Eddie loved being at the ocean (Cape Cod) and on the Conn. River, where he had many special times with his children. Eddie was a proud and loving man who will be missed by his family. Beside his loving and devoted Mother, Eddie is survived by his two sons, Christian and Daniel DeRoy of Vermont; his seven siblings, Diane Crawford and her husband John of Florida; Janice Baldwin of Holyoke; Christine Guimond and her husband Paul of Belchertown; Michele Borucki and her husband Joseph of South Hadley; Ronald DeRoy and his wife Candace (Candy) of Holyoke; Lynne Tanner and her husband Doug of Oakland, New Jersey and Paul DeRoy of Holyoke. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, as well as Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. Family and close friends are asked to join on Wednesday Nov. 27th at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040 from 1 to 3 PM for sharing and a funeral home service at 2:30PM.
