HOLYOKE- Dorothy (Ouellette) Pieciak, 83, entered eternal rest and peace on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center after overcoming many health challenges throughout her spirited and full life. She now joins her beloved son, Paul J. Pieciak who died in 2000. Dorothy was born in West Springfield on October 4, 1931 the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna (Pezzini) Ouellette and graduated from West Springfield High School. She was primarily a homemaker and loved spending time raising her family. She worked in sales for over 10 years at Steigers in the Ingleside Mall, primarily in the Hosiery Department. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of over 25 years Max J. Pieciak in 1980. She traveled too many one of a kind destinations and she loved spending time at the DAR in Goshen, traveling to the casino and playing cards with her friends but especially loved attending sports events for her grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Joanne Pieciak of Holyoke; Diane Pieciak-Churchill and her husband David of Springfield, VT; her two adored grandchildren, Justin Churchill of Malden, MA and Colin Churchill of Springfield, VT; Dorothy leaves several extended family members and dear friends. She was also predeceased by a cousin, Stanley Prova. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be held graveside at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Montgomery St., Chicopee on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 9:30AM. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Cavalier Restaurant at 11AM that all are invited to attend in Dorothy’s honor.
