Holyoke - Mrs. Doris “Zelia” Westcott wife of the late Frederic Lorne Westcott of Holyoke Massachusetts. She was born in Holyoke Massachusetts 13 February 1929 and attended Immaculate Conception parish school in Holyoke. Doris worked many jobs in her younger years, but her full time job was her family. She met her love Frederic “Scotty” Westcott at the Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee in 1950. They were married in 1951 until Frederic passed in November 1999. Doris loved the Christmas holidays and was always full of the holiday spirit. She was also known for her many paintings which she started later in life. Her influence, love and energy will remain in the lives she touched over time. She quietly departed this life 17 November 2020 from Mont Marie health care facility. Her beautiful life will be cherished forever in the lives of her family. Her Children Kathleen Pavlat and husband James South Hadley Ma., Bruce Westcott and wife Donna Chicopee Ma., Roy Westcott and wife Anne East Windsor Ct., Cynthia Murphy and husband Robert of Boca Raton Fl.; Grandchildren, Jason and Brett Westcott, Sandra Fonda, Sarah Lusty and Jessica Boden, Neil and Matthew Langrehr, Mark and Scotty DuPont, and Crystal Wilson and by 10 Great Grandchildren.
Family and friend are invited to meet for calling hours on Friday November 20, 2020 from 5 – 7 PM at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke. A service will be held for Doris on Saturday November 21st at 10:30 am at the funeral home, followed by committal services in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley.
