South Hadley – Denise M. (Tardif) Pinsonneault, of South Hadley, passed away peacefully on Monday April 14, 2025, at Pioneer Valley Health and Rehabilitation in South Hadley. Denise was born in East Hartford, CT to Joseph and Marie L. (Levesque) Tardif. She attended schools in Connecticut and when she and her family moved to Quebec, Denise completed her high school graduation.
While in Canada, Denise met Oliver J. Pinsonneault whom she married in 1941, before moving back to Holyoke, MA. Together they shared 63 years of marriage. Denise was a talented seamstress and enjoyed decorating and designing the interior of her home. She was a wonderful wife, homemaker and mother, staying home to raise her two children, Gilbert and Raymond.
Denise will be dearly missed by her two sons, Gilbert Pinsonneault and his wife Claudelle of South Hadley and Raymond Pinsonneault of Canada; her brother, Rene Tardif of Holyoke; her five adored grandchildren, Alan, Michael, Greg, Ann and Sara; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Oliver J. Pinsonneault in 2004, by her siblings, Maurice Tardif, Lucien Tardif, Arlene Lacoste, Roger Tardif and Theresa English.
All services will be private for the family with a burial in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. There are no calling hours. Messier Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
