Deborah R. Lent

Easthampton – Deborah Ruth (Carter) Lent, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 4, 2023 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton. Born in Holyoke to Edmond and Ruth (Law) Carter, she was a lifelong area resident. She grew up in Holyoke, attending Holyoke Public Schools and was a 1962 graduate of Holyoke High School.

Throughout her career, Deborah was employed in the Human Resources Department at the VA Medical Center. Deborah and Russell enjoyed many road trips over the years, especially to Cape Cod as well as gardening and spending time in their backyard.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Russell E. Lent, Sr. of Easthampton; her three children, Russell E. Lent, Jr. of North Carolina, Jared C. Lent and his wife Kim of Westfield, MA and Devon R. Lent of Holyoke, MA; several grandchildren, including Cierra and Jonathan and his wife Christina as well as many great grandchildren.
